About us

1. I want to travel to the Dominican Republic, how long should I stay in the country?

Ideally, you should come at least 2 – 3 days before to have time to undergo all the pre-operative studies, tests, and evaluations and stay for at least 13 days after surgery.

2. Will I have a drain after my surgery and for how long?

The drain will only be placed if you perform a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty, and the approximate duration is 10 to 12 days. This time may vary according to the evolution and recovery of each patient.

3. How long is the recovery time after my surgery?

Recovery time depends on the type of procedure performed and varies from patient to patient. Typically the approximate time is 4-5 weeks, but the final results can take between 6-8 months.

4. After breast surgery, how long should I wear the post-operative bra?

It is recommended to wear the post-operative bra for the next 4 weeks after surgery, then it is recommended to wear a “sports bra” for 4 more weeks.

5. What things should I avoid after plastic surgery?

It is advisable to avoid exposing wounds and scars to the sun, reduce the use of swimming pools and beaches, avoid heavy exercise or the gym for at least 3 months after surgery, do not drink alcohol or smoke and avoid sexual relations for the first 4-6 weeks, among other things.

6. How long is it necessary to use the post-operative garment or “faja”?

After your surgery, it is necessary to use a post-operative faja for at least 3 months with breaks only for your massages and personal hygiene. During this time it will be necessary to change its size, as the inflammation subsides. After 3 months, you can use it whenever you think it is necessary.
